Texas Holdem Poker Terms
Exposed Pair - This is a pair where both cards are dealt face upFacecard - A King, Queen, or Jack
Family Pot - A pot in which everyone calls the bet
Fifth Street - Also known as the river card. Its the 5th community card dealt in texas-holdem-poker
Fill - To draw a card which makes a complete hand
Fish - A poor player that loses money easily
Fixed Limit - A game where each betting round has a predetermine limit
Flashed Card - A card that has been partially exposed to one or more players
Flat Call - Calling a bet without raising
Flat Limit - A fixed limit game where all bets are the same amount
Flop - The first three community cards dealt together, starts the second round of bets in texashold'em poker
Flush -Any five cards of the same suit; all hearts, all diamonds, all clubs, all spades
Flush Draw - When a player has four cards of the same suit and is hoping to draw a 5th card of the same suit
Fold - To decline to take anymore action with a hand, losing all rights to the pot and not having to add to the current pot anymore
Forced Bet - A required bet to start off a pot, called big blind and small blind in texas holdem poker
Fouled Hand - A hand that for some reason is no longer a legal hand, same as dead hand
Four of a Kind - Four cards in a hand that have the same rank
Fourth Street - Also known as the turn card. Its the 4th community card dealt in texas-holdem-poker
Full Barn, Full Boat, Full Tub - Other names for a full house
Full Buy - To buy at least the minimum amount of chips needed for a particular game
Full House - A hand consisting of three of a kind and a pair
Gallery - Non playing spectators, also railbirds
Gravy - A persons winnings
Gutshot Straight - A draw to an inside straight
Hand - A players best five cards
Heads Up - A game is heads up when there are only two players left going for the pot
Help Card - A card that improves ones hand
High Roller - Someone that plays for high stakes
High Card - A way to decide who will represent the dealer first, by dealing each player a card, high card wins (ties broken by suit order of spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs)
Hold 'em - Also know as Texas Hold'em
Hole Cards - These are the two cards dealt face down in texas holdem poker
Hook - Another name for a jack, based on the J looking like a hook
House - The person or origination running the poker game for profit
