I thought I would take this opportunity to list some Texas Holdem Poker Rules for those of you that are new to Holdem. This not meant to be the official Texas Holdem Poker Rules but instead points that will help you to learn the game.
Texas Holdem Poker Rules
The dealer button moved clockwise one seat after each game.
Betting starts to the left of dealer button.
$2/$4 means that $2 is the low betting limit and $4 is the high betting limit.
The person at the left of the dealer button post the small blind.
The small blind is 1/2 of the low betting limit.
The person second to the left of the dealer button post the big blind.
The big blind is equal to the low betting limit.
There are four rounds where cards are taken off the deck.
There are four rounds of betting.
The first dealing is two hold cards to each player.
The second dealing is three cards face up call the Flop.
The third dealing is one card face up call the Turn.
The fourth dealing is one card face up call the River.
There is a round of betting between dealing: Holecards, Flop, Turn, River.
There is a three raise limit per betting round.
The five community cards dealt face up in the center of the table can be used by anyone to make a poker hand.
A player may use one, both or neither of their hole cards to make the highest ranking poker hand.
When its your turn you can either call, raise or fold.
You can fold at any time.
The blinds are posted in the first round only.
The player at the left of the button is always first to act in a betting round.
A game end with all players still in the game revealing their hole cards and the highest hand wins the pot.
